Broken Vessel II
BROKEN VESSEL
Hands forming a creation at the porter’s table,
With the same great love that the porter formed that night in the stable
Molding and shaping a life with great care and sophistication
Paying attention to all the details of this, his unique creation
Set unto the path this vessel formed out of love now completely molded
By the hands and heart of the porter for the time he cherished
However, the vessel, my life falls and pieces of hope and faith fall astray
Allowing the source of the porters love and time to be wasted away
Yet the porter picks up my broken pieces and mend my brokenness
Paying extra attention to heal my weakness
Inspired by the walk of the perfect vessel to reclaim victory
My strength, my imperfection, and my scars the porter holds dear to thee
My brokenness he sees not as a fault but as window
To stand by and look into the depths of my joy and sorrow
So this broken vessel can gaze out to know the tender loving porter
And though I fall on my hands and knees I can be used to draw
Water from the well that quenches the thirst salvation
I am a broken vessel formed from the porter’s hand of purification.
The End
